As the NBA All-Star Weekend approaches in February 2024, Nike is gearing up to celebrate with the release of the Nike KD 16 All-Star, the latest addition to Kevin Durant's impressive line of signature sneakers. Durant, who has been a critical figure in basketball and sneaker culture, continues to leave his mark with the KD 16, a model that has seen a variety of captivating colorways since its debut. Joining other Nike Basketball models like the GT Cut 3 and Ja 1, the KD 16 All-Star is set to be a standout piece for All-Star Weekend.
The Nike KD 16 All-Star is a feast for the eyes, boasting an array of colorful accents, including green, pink, orange, violet, and university gold. These lively hues are perfectly complemented by a wavy grid pattern along the mudguard, midfoot, and heel overlays, adding a dynamic texture to the sneaker. The midfoot features a TPU overlay with "35 Easy Money" branding, a nod to Durant's nickname and jersey number.
The sneaker's base is adorned with a zebra stripe-laden mesh in white and green, creating a bold and playful background for the other design elements. Further, KD branding, reminiscent of US currency, is prominently featured atop the tongue. The design is completed with a creamy foam midsole and a semi-translucent gum rubber outsole, ensuring both style and performance harmony.
The Nike KD 16 All-Star will release February 16, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
