Kevin Durant, the NBA superstar, has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Nike, marking the evolution of basketball footwear. Having seen success with previous releases like the NY vs. NY, Emotional Pathways, and Pathway Royalties, sneakerheads are now gearing up for the next installment of the Nike KD 16. As the anticipation for the renowned Aunt Pearl version and the Triple Red builds, Nike has unveiled a treat in the form of the Team-Bank (TB) collection of the KD 16.
The KD 16 TB Collection stands out with its simplistic yet versatile color palette, encompassing Game Royal, University Red, Black White, Wolf Grey, and White Black renditions. The Game Royal and University Red variations are highlighted by contrasting white accents that grace the piping of the midfoot panel, the iconic Swoosh, KD logo, and the sole. The more subdued Black White, Wolf Grey, and White Black choices exude sophistication with their colorblocking. These sneakers boast consistent construction across the range: an engineered mesh base, nubuck panels gracefully lining the mudguard, midfoot, heel, and sturdy TPU on the midfoot for added durability. Kevin Durant's influence is unmistakable, with his signature KD branding on the tongue and the distinctive “Easy” logo - a tribute to his “Easy Money Sniper” moniker - positioned on the heel. Below, the foam midsole contains a full-length Nike Air complemented by a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. Rounding out the design is the distinctive watch gear pattern on the outsole.
The Nike KD 16 TB Collection will release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
