Nike continues its tradition of supporting Indigenous communities through the N7 program, and the latest model to receive the N7 treatment is Kevin Durant's signature KD 17. The N7 collection, which has a longstanding history of incorporating Indigenous art and culture into its designs, launched several key releases this year, including the Air Force 1 Low and Air Max 1 '87 in June. For the fall season, Nike is adding two more models to the lineup, including the Dunk Low NN and KD 17, showcasing the brand’s commitment to raising awareness and supporting Indigenous initiatives.
The Nike KD 17 N7 features an engineered mesh upper dressed in a dark turquoise shade, creating a rich base enhanced by TPU overlays on the midfoot, a nod to the iconic Air Max Plus. These overlays come in a tonal blue finish, with hints of yellow on the top two layers that pop against the darker hues. The black detailing across the lace set, tongue, collar, and Swoosh adds depth, while the tongue tag and heel branding elements bring the design together. The tongue splits its branding between KD's logo on the right shoe and N7 on the left, while the heel features a Native American-inspired graphic on the left and Kevin Durant's signature on the right. Underfoot, a red and white Zoom Air midsole ensures top-tier performance, finished off with an icy blue semi-translucent outsole that complements the upper's cool tones.
The Nike KD 17 N7 will release on November 7, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
