Kevin Durant is kicking off his 17th NBA season as a member of the Phoenix Suns. Durant and company are looking to make a deeper push in the playoffs this year, and his latest Nike model, the Nike KD 17, will be on the feet of Easy Money Sniper during the season. So far, the sneaker has emerged in multiple special makeups, from collaborations with producers like Metro Boomin to a PE colorway from WNBA star Jonquel Jones. The model references his Easy Money Sniper nickname for its latest color scheme.
On the base of the sneaker sits a green-shaded engineered mesh, which comes reinforced with black fused TPU near the toe. More reinforcement is found on the midfoot in the Air Max Plus-inspired TPU overlays, taking on a gradient green color scheme with red accents near the top eyelets and the Swoosh on the collar. Moving back, the collar and heel come with a black nubuck finish, contrasted by red Kevin Durant branding. Along the tongue and lace set, we see patchy chenille hits and EEEASY branding on the tongue patch, an obvious homage to his Easy Money Sniper nickname. Underfoot sits a black foam midsole with Air Strobel and Zoom Air cushioning paired with a semi-translucent green generative rubber outsole.
The Nike KD 17 Sniper will release on October 21, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, retail is set at $150.
