Kevin Durant is in Paris, France, alongside the rest of Team USA as the men's basketball squad aims for another gold medal at this year's Summer Olympics. On his feet during these Olympic games is his 17th signature silhouette with Nike, the KD 17. Since its debut in April, the KD 17 has seen numerous iterations, each capturing elements of Durant's game and personal style. This August, Nike introduces the KD 17 Travel Ball, a design inspired by the vibrant world of travel ball teams.
The Nike KD 17 Travel Ball features a purple engineered mesh base, offering breathability and a striking visual appeal. Clear TPU panels on the midfoot, inspired by the iconic Air Max Plus, allow the vibrant purple to shine, while golden yellow accents add a touch of contrast. This golden hue is prominently featured on the top eyestays, Swoosh, and the iridescent KD tongue tag, extending to the Kevin Durant branding on the heel. Royal blue leather accents on the collar and heel area add depth to the design, complemented by a purple sockliner, tongue lining, and heel tab. Underfoot, the sneaker boasts a pink and cream foam midsole for superior cushioning and a semi-translucent rubber outsole that provides excellent traction and durability.
The Nike KD 17 Travel Ball will release on August 16, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
