Kevin Durant is set to make history in 2024 as he prepares to participate in his fourth Summer Olympics, representing Team USA. Nike and Durant have crafted a special USA-themed version of the KD 17 to commemorate this milestone and the upcoming games in Paris, France. This patriotic KD 17 draws thematic inspiration from other iconic Nike Basketball models crafted for the Olympics. Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 1 is also receiving a USA makeover, ensuring fans have ample options to show their support.
The Nike KD 17 USA features a striking design that combines performance with national pride. The upper is constructed from engineered mesh in a clean white base, providing breathability and comfort. Contrasting accents in navy and red adorn the TPU overlays, creating a dynamic split-color look.
These overlays feature a safari print pattern, echoing designs seen on other Nike Basketball Olympic sneakers, such as the GT Hustle 3, GT Cut 3, and GT Jump 2. KD branding appears prominently in navy on the tongue, while a white Swoosh graces the lateral collar, adding a touch of classic Nike style. The midsole blends white and navy hues, and the outsole comes in a solid navy color, offering excellent traction and durability.
The Nike KD 17 USA is set to release on July 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
