Nike's partnership with LeBron James has been nothing short of iconic, resulting in silhouettes that enhance performance and make waves in the streetwear scene. Now officially unveiled, the LeBron 21 is has arrived in the “Akoya” colorway. Still, recent unveilings at the Nike World Basketball Festival in NYC, courtesy of Brendan Dunne from Complex, have given fans a peek at another upcoming Nike LeBron 21 colorway. Its latest iteration draws inspiration from the ocean's depths, specifically, an Abalone.
The Abalone colorway encapsulates the LeBron 21's oyster-inspired design, with its upper in an iridescent hue reminiscent of pearls. Industrial blue accents the lace set, tongue, sockliner, and heel counter, adding contrast and depth to the design. Nike's iconic Swoosh, embroidered in white, stands out prominently against this marine tableau, accompanied by LeBron's signature rendered in a subtle photon dust shade. When it comes to performance, the LeBron 21 doesn't compromise. It rests on an industrial blue foam midsole, integrated with cutting-edge features like a Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot, a bottom-loaded 13-millimeter Zoom unit in the heel, and a full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam carrier. This performance juggernaut is rounded off with a pristine white rubber outsole.
The Nike LeBron 21 Abalone will release on December 1, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
