Nike Basketball’s venture with LeBron James has been one of basketball history's most successful signature series of sneakers. As James enters his 21st season, his signature line with Nike is expanding to include the Nike LeBron 21. Though not the first colorway of the model to hit shelves, and a stark departure from the pair revealed by LeBron on his Instagram, the LeBron 21 will soon launch in a “Violet Dust” colorway.
The Nike LeBron 21 Freshwater features an upper drenched entirely in the shade of violet dust, offering a vibrant display of color. The sneaker's upper, constructed of nubuck, showcases perforations near the lateral toe. Accentuating this rich purple hue are bold splashes of yellow, present on the Swoosh, LeBron's signature on the tongue, bungee eyelets, and the heel tab. The laces and sockliner stay true to the overarching violet dust color scheme. Underneath, a tonal midsole houses a metallic purple hit near the heel, further enhancing the color palette. A semi-translucent rubber outsole finishes off the look. As of this writing, no official tech specs have been revealed.
The Nike LeBron 21 Voilet Dust will release October 14, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $200 and $160, respectively.
