Since its inception in 1972, the Nike Cortez silhouette has enjoyed a remarkable journey, evolving from a groundbreaking running shoe to an everyday fashion staple. Over the past few years, Nike has been revitalizing the Cortez, creating new and exciting versions. This year, Nike introduced the Nike Cortez 23 Premium as a more high-quality version of the silhouette. Now, we have first looks at the upcoming Black Sailcolorway.
This Black Sail Cortez is a premium all-leather version of the iconic silhouette. The shoe retains its usual paneling, visible in the toecap and serrated leather eyelets. Most of the sneaker comes in a deep black hue, except the white Swoosh and heel tab. Complementing the upper, black Nike branding is prominent on the heel and atop the tongue. The insole comes with a refined leather finish boasting white Nike branding. Underfoot, a sail midsole with black hits near the heel pairs with a sail outsole.
The Nike Cortez 23 Premium Black Sail W will release on November 8, 2023 through Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. The shoe will be available in women's sizing at the retail price of $110.
