So far, adidas’ Adilicious City Series has ventured far and wide from The Three Stripes home country of Germany, bringing us to Seoul with Taegeukdang and the UAE via Ravi Restaurant, though the latest in their food-themed collection is staying local to their German heritage. With their Japanese-style kebabs, Ø27 brings the street food legend to the adidas ZX 8000, coming in a "Crystal White" colorway.
Across the leather and mesh upper you’ll find shades of white and grey with black hits accenting throughout. Our only hit of mesh comes via the toebox while the rest of the leather upper gets contrasted with black stitching details and black plastic eyestays keeping the white laces in place. Ø27 makes its appearance around and on the laces with the tongue tag, dubrae, and lace tips hosting their logo, while the insole has their motto “Not your ordinary kebab.” As for the rest of the silhouette, clear plastic acts as a heel counter while the midsole and outsole come in a cream and black combo respectively.
The Ø27 x adidas ZX 8000 Crystal White is set to release on August 25th, 2022 through adidas and Overkill in Germany online and in-store with a US launch set for later in 2022. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
