Puma Hoops has been on a tear over the last few months as they’ve added NBA star Tyrese Haliburton to their roster of athletes and have enlisted Salehe Bembury to help design a new silhouette. The brand introduced the All-Pro Nitro Elite, a new high-end performance basketball model, and the MB.04, LaMelo Ball’s latest signature sneaker. Continuing with the face of Puma Hoops, the brand is launching a new colorway of Ball’s lifestyle shoe, the Puma LaFrance, in a slime green colorway dubbed Assist.
Retaining the Lanvin-esque chunky design the model is known for, this iteration of the LaFrance sneaker comes coated in slime green and volt hues. Patent leather overlays across the profile in a volt hue match the circular mesh panels, lace set, and tongue overlay. Branding details for LaMelo, LaFrance, and Puma are found across this area, including the “1 1 1” logo for Ball, LaFrance text and a logo for the brand, and a Puma cat logo. A heel spoiler continues the volt shades, as does the sockliner. Contrasting this single hue of green is a patent leather mudguard, coming in a dark green shade that matches the thick rubber midsole and outsole.
The Puma LaFrance Assist will release on October 18, 2024, through Puma, Foot Locker, and Champs Sports online and in-store. Available in adult and kids sizing, the retail price is set at $110 for adults and $95 for kids.
