As we approach the beginning of the 2022-2023 NBA season, footwear brands and athletes alike are getting ready to debut their latest innovations in performance basketball technology. Over at The Swoosh, we’ve seen models like the LeBron 20 and GT Cut 2 hit the shelves while we’re all still waiting for Puma and LaMelo Ball’s ever-popular MB.01 to receive its second iteration, the MB.02. Before this, however, we’re set to get the low-top version of the MB.01 in an ultra-clean “Black White” colorway.
Almost the entirety of the mono mesh and fused plastic overlay constructed upper gets covered in a singular shade of black with branding details contrasting in a stark white. These branding details can be found via the Puma formstrip on the fused overlay located around the toe as well as the LaMelo Ball-inspired graphics and text along the tongue. Working back towards the midfoot, the wings graphic gets embroidered around the collar portion in the same stark white shade as other details while the spine of the heel features another hit of Melo branding. Underfoot, the NITRO foam cushioned midsole comes in all-black as does the court-ready rubber outsole.
The Puma MB.01 Low Black White is set to release on October 15th, 2022 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in both men’s and grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $120 and $85 respectively.
