As the Chinese New Year approaches, Puma is set to join the celebration with a special edition of LaMelo Ball's latest signature sneaker, the Puma MB.03. This festive iteration of the MB.03 is a vibrant tribute to the Lunar New Year, reflecting Puma's commitment to blending cultural themes with athletic performance. Before this colorway launches, we’ll get an official collab with Dexter’s Laboratory on the silhouette.
The Puma MB.03 CNY is a visual treat featuring a unique color palette and design elements that pay homage to the Chinese New Year. The sneaker's upper is constructed from engineered mesh, primarily tan. This color is accented with scratches that reveal underlying peachy mesh tones, adding depth and intrigue to the design.
The peach color extends to the tongue and various branding elements, including the Puma Formstrip on the TPU mudguard and the Melo branding on the tongue and heel. Gold leather patches on the tongue serve as a luxurious canvas for the Melo branding, adding a touch of elegance to the sneaker. This gold theme is subtly echoed in the sneaker's performance features, with a Nitro Foam-cushioned midsole providing responsive comfort and support. The design is completed with a clear rubber outsole embellished with gold speckle details, further enhancing the festive look.
The Puma MB.03 CNY will release on December 29, 2023, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's and grade school sizing, the retail price for men's sizes is set at $120, while grade school sizes will be available for $105.
