LaMelo Ball’s signature sneaker line for Puma has helped the German sportswear brand immensely in its push back into basketball. The partnership will soon grow with the third signature model, as we've got our first look at the MB.03.
The Puma MB.03 in its “La France” colorway reveals a slight evolution from its predecessors. The upper abandons monomesh in favor of a TPU overlay, with a transparent reinforced toe box added for durability. A scratched-out design reveals mesh portions underneath, and this initial colorway features an all-over Victorian print in black paired matching branding. The tongue boasts "LF" and "RARE" text, while the iconic Phoenix logo that's appeared in Ball's first two sneakers remains. A newly designed midsole extends onto the upper, though we’re not sure if it retains the Nitro Foam cushioning until Puma provides more details. Other colorways reportedly in the pipeline include "Toxic," "Hills," "Blue Hive," and a collaboration with the hit animated show Dexter's Laboratory.
The Puma MB.03 La France will release in September through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is set at $125.
