Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year or two, you'd know that retro sneakers are all the rage these days. From adidas to New Balance, all of the industry's biggest players are frantically diving into their archives to bring back silhouettes of the past, and Puma is certainly no different. Back in the '80s, the German giant revealed the Rocket and Rockette. Inspired by the Easy Rider from the decade before, these were affectionately nicknamed "Speedy Cat" due to their track-focused features. While we certainly haven't seen much of them over the last few years, the European sportswear giant has officially brought them back in the Puma My Love "V-Day" Pack - and here's everything that we know so far.
Returning just in time for Valentine's Day, the Rocket and Rockette are outfitted in black and red suede, respectively. Contrast Formstrip detailing shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, while branded tags are finely stitched across the lacing system. Underfoot, you'll find a creamy EVA foam midsole which offers next level comfort and cushioning, while an old school gum outsole lines the unit with a design that's taken straight from the '80s. With this being a V-Day drop, the heel is decorated with a special heart-shaped cutout so you can feel the love wherever you go.
Want to cop the Puma My Love V-Day Pack? Then listen up, as it's set to release three days before the big day on February 11th, 2023 in men's and women's sizes. Retail is set at $100 and it'll be available at Puma and select retailers worldwide.
