Chinese fashion label Randomevent has teamed up with New Balance to bring a fresh perspective to two of the brand's most beloved models: the 1906R and the 9060. This collaborative endeavor is aptly titled The Sweetness of Kin, signifying a fusion of familial warmth and contemporary fashion.
Offering a unique take on each model, each pair in this collection showcases a distinct color palette that embodies the essence of Randomevent's innovative and forward-thinking design philosophy. The 1906R exudes an earthy and warm aesthetic. It features toasty tan hues across its leather and suede overlays, creating a sophisticated and inviting look. Cream shades contrast the "N" logo, laces, sockliner, and heel counter. The design is completed with a brown midsole and a tonal outsole, reinforcing the shoe's rich, understated elegance.
In contrast, the 9060 silhouette presents a darker theme with black suede overlays and a mesh base. This darker base is accentuated with pops of color: silver on the toebox overlays and blue leather piping on the lateral midfoot's "N" logo. The chunky midsole in a tan/brown color scheme adds a bold touch, complemented by a gum rubber outsole. This contrasting approach between the two models highlights the versatility and creativity inherent in the collaboration, appealing to a wide range of tastes and styles.
The Randomevent x New Balance Sweetness of Kin Pack will release on January 12, 2024, through Randomevent online and in-store, while a wider release via New Balance and select retailers will take place at a later date.
