Nike and Stussy have been working together on collaborative projects for over two decades, teaming up on various silhouettes and apparel collections with many, like the Stussy x Nike SB Dunk Low “Cherry,” becoming some of the most sought-after pairs in the sneaker world. Recently, the duo has taken us back in time with projects on models from the 90s and the Air Penny 2 has become a common theme in the last few months as Stussy has brought its unique design language to three colorways so far. Now, launching alongside the “Rattan” colorway, a clean “Fossil” colorway has just appeared.
Just like other collaborations from Stussy x Nike, the “Fossil” colorway keeps things monochromatic with an all-over creamy hue covering the hemp canvas upper. Construction of the panels remains the same with tonal stitching details creating depth to the singular material while the wavy foam rises up from the midsole to host “Stussy” branding. Tonal laces work up the same colored tongue towards a Nike-branded tongue tag containing a Nike Swoosh. Back on the heel, we have our last hit of Nike branding embroidered into the canvas while the design comes rounded out by a foam midsole in a tonal fossil shade paired with a rubber outsole featuring co-branded logos on the heel.
The Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 Fossil is set to release on February 10th, 2023 through Stussy online and in select Stussy storefronts while a release through SNKRS and select retailers is up in the air. Retailing for $200, the pair will launch in men’s sizing.
