Following the KD 15 Producer Pack's success, which featured a tribute to notable music producers, the upcoming Nike KD 17 continues this tradition with its own Producer Pack. The Alchemist, renowned for his deep ties within the hip-hop community and distinctive soundscapes, lends his creative flair to the KD 17. Bink! and Metro Boomin will each get their own KD 17 alongside this pair.
The Alchemist x Nike KD 17 is meticulously crafted to stand out on and off the court. It features a multi-layered mesh upper inspired by the iconic Air Max 95, showcasing a gradient transition from deep purple at the base to lighter purple tones upwards. This design is complemented by a transparent TPU overlay inspired by the Air Max Plus, enhancing its dynamic look and reinforcing the upper. Strategic pops of volt around the eyelets and on the Swoosh branding on the lateral heel inject a vibrant contrast, while ALC Records branding nods to The Alchemist’s music label. The design is rounded off with a coconut milk-colored midsole and a semi-translucent rubber outsole, ensuring both style and substance.
The Alchemist x Nike KD 17 will release on June 14, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
