When the Nike Air Max Penny 1 was originally released from 1995-96, it came in three colorways, one white-based “Home” pair and two black-based “Away” pairs. The classic black, varsity royal, and white “Orlando” edition has been retroed numerous times over the past 25+ years. Its black, varsity royal, and black “All-Star” counterpart didn’t return until 2014, and the “Orlando Home” has remained absent since the late 90s.
This year will mark the first time since its initial run that all three original colorways of the Nike Air Max Penny 1 will be released. While shipping delays have prevented its debut, fear not, the “Orlando,” “All-Star,” and “Orlando Home” Penny 1s will all drop in 2022, along with some new colorways. We saw the “Orlando” edition in late 2021 and then two limited edition collabs with Social Status surfaced. Now, we have an official look at the highly anticipated return of the “Orlando Home” pair.
Staying true to the OG, the Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Orlando Home” comes in white, varsity royal, black, and metallic silver. Designed to match Penny Hardaway’s Orlando Magic home uniform, this pair features an all-white design, with a leather upper, Phylon support wing, and rubber outsole. Royal Blue accents the jewel Swoosh on the sides, branding on the toe, tongue, and back heel, as well as the lining, insoles, and Max Air cushioning in the heel. A classic black and white pinstriped tongue and back heel pull tab finish things off.
The Nike Air Max Penny 1 Orlando Home is set to release in August 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $170. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
