In a unique fusion of music and street culture, Baltimore-based band Turnstile collaborates with Converse to launch a dynamic two-sneaker capsule. Known for their hardcore punk roots and skateboarding passion, Turnstile brings their distinctive energy and aesthetic to this special collection, featuring reimagined versions of the Converse Chuck 70 and One Star Pro.
The Chuck 70, part of the Turnstile x Converse Pack, showcases a bold monotone black canvas upper inspired by the band's acclaimed album "Glow On." This high-top sneaker visually represents Turnstile's music, featuring distinctive graphics and translucent elements that resonate with the band's creative vision. Custom details include a unique license plate, prints on the outsole and sock liner, and a reflective floating orb graphic, making it more than just a shoe but a piece of wearable art.
Complementing the Chuck 70 is the leather-clad One Star Pro, which perfectly captures the essence of hardcore punk and skateboarding culture. This sneaker features a striking multi-star logo on the quarter panel, echoing the band's album artwork. Bold co-branded details adorn the tongue and license plate, while the CX foam liner ensures enhanced comfort, which is crucial for skateboarding enthusiasts. The CONS traction outsole and elasticated tongue gussets provide a secure lockdown fit, improving performance and style. An embossed foxing tape with the lyrics "Can't Be The Only One" adds more meaning to this collaborative piece.
The Turnstile x Converse Pack, which includes the CT70 Hi and the One Star Ox, is set to release on January 25, 2024, through Converse and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $95 for the CT70 Hi and $80 for the One Star Ox.
