Combining the craftsmanship from UK-based Dr. Martens and the unique design language of Japanese-based Undercover has become a mainstay in the fashion world for years now as both labels have teamed up at least one time a year dating back to the early 2010s. Kickstarting 2023, the Jun Takahashi-founded Undercover brings 70s film inspiration for a three-pack of Dr. Martens Made In England 1461 colorways.
Coming in “Black,” “Blue,” and “Cherry Red,” all three sneakers utilize a monochromatic leather upper across the three-eye construction of the low-top 1461 boot. Sitting atop the leather is a grid pattern in black that instantly can be identified as one of Undercover’s famous design choices. More nods to Undercover come in the form of the embossed phrase “WE MAKE NOISE NOT CLOTHES” which is located on the lateral side near the heel. Underfoot, the infamous yellow stitching details on the sidewall remain while the sole unit comes in a semi-translucent gum finish.
The Undercover x Dr. Martens Made In England 1461 Pack is set to release on January 13th, 2023 through Dr. Martens and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $260.
