Uptherestore, the Melbourne, Australia sneaker boutique has just landed their first collaboration with New Balance. To go with grilling shrimp on the barbie and all your Australian patio cookouts is the Uptherestore x New Balance 2002R “Backyard Legends.”
Perfect for the outdoor patio, the silhouette comes in a sandwich mesh and suede construction across its upper. The majority of the upper’s suede overlays take on a grassy green shade, seen on the mudguard and midfoot, complimenting the purple overlays atop the white mesh toebox, collar, and heel. Along the midfoot, the N logo comes in a reflective silver with white trim surrounding it. White flat laces work up the tongue to the redesigned label atop, adding an Australian hit to the New Balance logo through the “New Balance AUS” text. Underfoot, the look is completed by the white midsole and green rubber outsole combo.
The Uptherestore x New Balance 2002R Backyard Legends is set to release on July 15th, 2022 exclusively through Uptherestore in-store with an online release going down on July 16th through uptherestore.com. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250 AUD (approx $170 USD).
