adidas and Jerry Lorenzo finally launched the debut Fear of God Athletics capsule in December 2023, with the duo having since launched a handful of designs and colorways. One is the Los Angeles Runner, an updated take on the archival adidas LA Trainer from the '80s. Following the model's launch in Clay, a new Pale Yellow colorway has emerged. Alongside this new Los Angeles Runner, April will also see the release of the Fear of God ‘86 Hi.
The adidas Fear of God Athletics Los Angeles Runner Pale Yellow features a creamy tan hue that covers the entirety of its ripstop and suede upper. This choice of color imbues the sneaker with a sense of subtlety and sophistication, allowing it to transition seamlessly between athletic and lifestyle contexts. The tonal laces further enhance the unified aesthetic of the sneaker, while a lace toggle featuring Jerry Lorenzo's reimagined Three Stripes logo adds a signature touch to the design. The sneaker's foundation is an EVA-cushioned foam midsole, offering comfort and support with every step. Fear of God branding on the heel and a grooved rubber outsole complete the design, ensuring both style and functionality are balanced perfectly.
The adidas Fear of God Athletics Los Angeles Runner Pale Yellow will release on April 3, 2024, through Fear of God, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will retail for $170.
