New Balance's mesh runners have dominated fashion and sneaker circles, with the brand's 1906R model being a standout in this category. With collaborations ranging from Action Bronson to innovative new variants like the 1906L Loafer, the 1906R continues to capture the attention of sneakerheads globally. Adding to the excitement, UK-based retailer Footpatrol is set to release an exclusive colorway of the 1906R, aptly named X-Ray. This collaboration channels the contrasting imagery of X-rays, making it a standout addition to the New Balance lineup.
The Footpatrol-exclusive New Balance 1906R X-Ray features a striking design inspired by the blue hues seen in X-ray imagery. The upper showcases a mesh base in various blue shades, with triangular overlays in icy blue hues adding a dynamic touch. Darker blue accents are present on the toecap, and the areas surrounding the iconic N logo, with the N logo itself split between black on the lateral side and white on the medial side, providing a unique visual contrast. Inside, the insole features an X-ray graphic of a human foot in a blue hue, tying the theme together. The look is completed with a cream and red foam midsole, symbolizing bones and muscles, and a creamy outsole for a cohesive finish.
The Footpatrol exclusive New Balance 1906R X-Ray will release on May 31, 2024, exclusively via Footpatrol online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be determined.
