The brand has seen considerable success with its 1906R model, leading to the development of several variations, including the 1906A and the 1906L Loafer, which have caught the attention of sneakerheads worldwide. For 2024, New Balance is set to introduce a new colorway in the 1906A line: the Metallic Silver. Alongside this pair, the sneaker has been spotted in a Sea Salt Metallic Silver and a Triple Black makeover.
The New Balance 1906A Metallic Silver showcases a futuristic approach with its striking metallic and greyscale color scheme. The sneaker combines mesh, leather, and TPU in its construction, providing a durable yet comfortable fit. A unique, mismatched paneling takes over the upper, creating a visually compelling aesthetic.
Double-stacked leather on the toe and midfoot adds texture and depth, while the vamp is cleverly shifted towards the medial side, complementing the lateral shift seen on the tongue tag. The sneaker's dynamic look is further emphasized by the 1906A branding on a hanging tag along the midfoot and a sturdy TPU counter at the heel. Completing the design is a tonal grey midsole paired with a black rubber outsole, ensuring both style and performance.
