Kevin Durant revealed his latest signature sneaker with Nike, the Nike KD 18, last night through Boardroom, revealing a pair set to drop in April. While the lifetime Nike athlete has two different colorways for his KD 18, launching at the end of the NBA season, his new sneaker is debuting as part of Nike Basketball’s Black Label collection for NBA All-Star Weekend.
Inspiration for the KD 18 comes from the ACG Terra Humara, which is not only a favorite of KD but also a staple in the DMV area where Durant had his upbringing. This design is visible through the midfoot cage, though this lux Black Label colorway opts for a rubberized finish in black. A mesh material borrowed from the Zoom Vomero 5 sits on the base, adding extra breathability and comfort to the silhouette.

The laces and tongue continue the blacked-out look, while Durant’s KD logo is embroidered in a 3D finish in emerald green. Another non-black hit is found on the lateral heel, which features another 3D embroidery, this time a coconut milk Swoosh. Branding for the Black Label collection is featured just below this Swoosh, with the left show hosting the name of the collection and the right displaying that the pair is limited to 1,988. Like other pairs in the Black Label collection, this number directly references the year the signature athlete was born.
The KD 18 features a forefoot Zoom Air unit, Dot Weld heel Strobel, and Cushlon foam inside. The bottom layer of the upper also contains Nike Air in the heel for more comfort. Below is a generative rubber outsole nearly identical to the KD 17.
The Nike KD 18 Black Label will release on February 14, 2025, through Nike SNKRS and Foot Locker in San Fran as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $180. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
