New Balance channeled the Y2K era of running sneakers with the heritage of silhouettes in the 99X series to create the New Balance 9060. Since its introduction via a Joe Freshgoods collaboration, the model has become one of NB’s most popular, with multiple collaborators getting their version. The latest to work on the model is retailer Shoe Palace, which gives the model a Metallic Silver Black color scheme.
Shining throughout the model are the metallic silver overlays, which land on the leather panels around the toe, midfoot, and heel. Black accents pop among portions of these panels near the toe and collar, while black suede covers the toebox overlays and heel overlays. A white sandwich mesh also features a tight mesh below this netting-like material. This mesh extends along the tongue but gets broken up by metallic silver leather and black suede near the top. Final branding details include the N logo on the midfoot, lined with a glow-in-the-dark light green finish, and the metallic silver NB logo on the heel. Below this sits a black, grey, and dark grey chunky foam midsole with glow-in-the-dark pods near the forefoot and heel paired with a black rubber outsole.
