adidas has a rich history of melding culture and footwear in ways that resonate with fans worldwide. Their partnership with The Simpsons has been no different, offering delightful takes that pull straight from the beloved animated series. As they continue this fruitful collaboration, the spotlight returns to the Forum Low, a silhouette that previously sported the "Duffman" theme. With recent hits like the Itchy, Scratchy, and Poochie Pack or the thrilling Treehouse of Horror Rivalry, this new drop promises a nostalgic trip back to a familiar setting – The Simpsons' living room.
Stepping into this new design feels like being ushered straight into the iconic living room that has graced TV screens for decades. The color palette on this Forum Low is unmistakably reminiscent of the family's abode. Pink segments covering the tongue, laces, and midfoot harken back to the living room walls, setting the scene for more detailed tributes. One such standout is the chenille material, which mirrors the vibrant pattern of the living room rug. A sailboat painting, a staple of the room's backdrop, finds its way onto the tongue. Giving the sneaker its texture and depth are overlays on the vamp, eyestays, and X-Strap with a corduroy finish, representing the famous couch. And, as a nod to the family's loyal greyhound, an embroidery of Santa's Little Helper is tastefully placed on the heel. This detailed tribute combines a white midsole and a gum rubber outsole. Alongside this pair, we are also being treated to an NMD_G1 and adiFOM Superstar that take after themes from the intro sequence of the show.
