Andre Agassi’s legacy lives on even past his retirement from tennis as his signature sneaker series with Nike has been revived. More specifically, the fan favorite Air Tech Challenge 2, which also helped inspire the sole unit of the Nike Air Yeezy 2, has been on a solid retro run, coming back in faux-aged OG renditions like Hot Lava, Racer Pink, and Stone Blue. Another OG colorway with vintage details has appeared — the Air Tech Challenge 2 Pixel Court.
Last released in 2014, this OG iteration of Agassi’s Nike sneaker perfectly encapsulates the era from which it came, as pops of red and blue accent the clean white upper. Unlike other renditions of the ATC II, this pair used a pixelated graphic for its “lava” print near the lower eyelet and heel. Construction is the same as the original, as a perforated leather takes over the base with smooth leather and mesh overlays found on the rest of the upper.

Faux aged details, including the TPU eyelets and portions of the midsole, are not as intense as the ones found on the recent releases of the Hot Lava and Racer Pink colorways, but they still add vintage vibes to the ‘90s sneaker. Finishing the upper are blue details on the Swoosh and Nike Air text on the heel, and pops of red and blue on the woven tongue label. The aforementioned faux aged midsole with an Air unit in the heel is paired with a cream, blue, and red outsole to complete the look.
The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 Pixel Court will release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
