Unveiled in 2014, the Nike Kyrie 1 marked the beginning of Kyrie Irving's successful signature line with Nike. With Leo Chang at the helm of the design, the Kyrie 1 introduced a basketball shoe uniquely tailored to Irving's explosive playing style.
The Kyrie 1 featured a Hyperfuse construction that combined breathability, durability, and stability. Its robust midsole boasted a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot, providing responsive cushioning for sudden stops and accelerations.
One of the standout design features was the unique 360-degree dynamic traction pattern on the outsole, designed to mimic Irving's quick footwork on the court. The shoe also featured personal touches such as his mother's and daughter's names and a “JBY” logo for "Just Be You," a motto from his late mother.
Originally retailing at $110, the resale value of the Kyrie 1 depends on the condition and specific colorway. Discover the Nike Kyrie 1's past and present on Sole Retriever today!
