Nike Kyrie 3 Shoes
The Kyrie 3 (III) was the last shoe Leo Chang designed for the signature line—the silhouette originally released in 2016. Nike’s design team took pieces from the Kyrie 1’s traction and the Kyrie 2’s midfoot strap to create Irving’s third signature shoe. The Kyrie 3 features a reimagined herringbone traction pattern with new suspension pods and Flywire near the midfoot for a personalized fit. Launched in 2016, the Nike Kyrie 3 continued the line's evolution. Leo Chang's design catered to Irving's ability to change pace and direction, with a focus on court feel and traction.
The Kyrie 3 retained the curved outsole from its predecessor but added independent traction pods at the forefoot, enhancing grip for Irving's lethal crossover. The shoe also used an integrated forefoot band with Flywire technology for enhanced lockdown.
The Kyrie 3's aesthetic carried symbols of Irving's personal and family life, including the names of his daughter Azurie and late mother Elizabeth on the outsole, and a tribute to his alma mater, Duke University.
Originally retailing at $120, the resale value of the Kyrie 3 depends on the condition and specific colorway. Discover the Nike Kyrie 3's past and present on Sole Retriever today!
