The LeBron 4 (IV), arguably the most popular shoe of his signature line, originally released in 2006 under the leadership of Ken Link. James’ fourth signature basketball shoe is, undoubtedly, the heaviest of his line with good reason; James’ tanks made use of Nike’s Foamposite technology and housed a semi-visible carbon fiber shank plate for additional support. The Nike Zoom LeBron 4, launched in 2006, was a game-changer for the LeBron line. It was the first in the series to incorporate Nike's Foamposite technology, initially used in the Nike Air Foamposite One.
