Anthony Edwards' first signature sneaker with adidas took the sneaker world by storm as the AE 1 has been highly regarded amongst the media, fans, and ball players as the best signature sneaker model in basketball at the moment. With the hype around the model at an all-time high, adidas has plenty of new colorways like the Preloved Purple and Bred on the horizon and has decided to introduce a new low-top variant at the start of the NBA Playoffs.
The adidas AE 1 Low scales down the hit sneaker into a low-top silhouette while maintaining (and updating) the technological prowess of its mid-top predecessor. The sneaker is engineered with a blend of Primeblue knit and a robust TPU honeycomb structure at the midfoot, offering unparalleled support and breathability. The aesthetic is elevated with a pinkish hue dominating the toebox and midfoot, contrasted sharply against black accents on the tongue, eyestays, and heel. Other details from the AE 1 remain on this new version, including the Anthony Edwards logo atop the tongue and the adidas logo on the faux carbon fiber TPU heel counter. Down below sits an updated cushioning system, which now emphasizes Light Boost throughout, compared to the original, which houses more Lightstrike than Boost.
The adidas AE 1 Low Mural will release August 5, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $110 for men's pairs and $90 for GS.
